What kind of drumsticks do i need to buy to play the drums? ( not drumset)?
I need some drumsticks and a book for it for beginning band. its not the like drumsets with the pedal and the pans.
Depends on what drums you ARE playing, not which ones you’re not playing.
Just go to a music store to where the drums are and tell a salesperson what kind of drums you will be playing and they will show you the sticks for them. Sorry, I don’t know about whatever book you need.

Pedal Steal $14.38 Texas-based Terry Allen’s country music vision is truly like no one else’s, and emphatically in opposition to anything that has passed for country music in Nashville since the ’70s. Thankfully, Sugar Hill has shown a commitment to issuing classic and not quite classic Allen albums from yesteryear, making lovely oddities like 1985′s Pedal Steal available once again. Pedal Steal isn’t a country music album with three- and four-minute songs about loving, cheatin’, and Jesus. Instead, Allen has pieced together something like a radio play with dialog, background noises, and snippets of songs that tell the impressionistic tale of one steel guitar player who played rock & roll in the ’60s and ’70s. Initially, Pedal Steal — believe it or not — was written for the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company in San Francisco, and the production won a prestigious contemporary dance award. It’s easy to see the genius that lay behind this project, though difficult to know exactly who’d sit around and listen to an album like Pedal Steal. For true believers, though, Pedal Steal is one helluva long story-song, flavored by Allen’s idiosyncratic (and odd) vision, and that is more than enough reason to tune in. ~ Ronnie D. Dreamer’s Book $11.98 There is nothing wrong with vocalists reinventing themselves stylistically as long as they do it well. Those who know Kendall Jane Meade from the ’90s alternative pop/rock band Juicy might think of the New York City resident as an energetic, aggressive, spunky, emotionally assertive type of singer. But as Mascottas leader, Meade has moved in a surprisingly different direction and has successfully reinvented herself as an introspective singer/songwriter with a folk-rock/adult alternative orientation. Dreamer’s Book is an appropriate title for this 2004 release because the material does have a very dreamy quality, and this hushed, relaxed, gently reflective Meade is a major departure from Juicyas alterna-rock energy. But not once does Meade sound like she is the least bit uncomfortable as a laid-back singer/songwriter; quite the opposite, in fact. Dreamer’s Book is consistently appealing, and memorable tracks like “L.O.V.E.,” “Turn Off/Turn On” and “Bluebirds in Heaven” make it clear that Meade is enjoying this softer direction a great deal. This is certainly a more subtle and lighter Meade than we knew back in the mid-’90s, but on Dreamer’s Book, light doesn’t mean lightweight — vulnerable, certainly, but not wimpy or weak-minded. For all their subtlety and restraint, these songs have a lot of meat on their bones; Meade gets her emotional points across effectively and demonstrates she doesn’t need a lot of volume to hold the listener’s attention. Broken Record $16.98 Songwriter Lloyd Cole has had his share of ups and downs. After releasing the bona fide classic Rattlesnakes and the truly fine Easy Pieces in the 1980s with his band the Commotions, Cole jumped from Universal to Capitol, where he cut his self-titled solo album and the critically acclaimed Don’t Get Weird on Me Babe. Neither sold. He moved to Rykodisc for two albums before slipping out of sight in 1995 for the decade’s remainder. He returned in the new century and released independent albums every couple of years, but they went mostly unnoticed. Cole quietly disappeared again after 2006′s Anti-Depressant. In 2009, he emerged again and appealed to his small but dedicated fan base for help in financing a new album. Broken Record, released in Europe in late 2010 and in the U.S. in the middle of 2011 is the result. The gamble paid off in spades creatively. Recorded in Manhattan with Commotions’ keyboardist Blair Cowan, session drummer Fred Maher, guitarists Mark Schwaber and Matt Cullen, among others, Broken Record is small in scope, but full of crafty hooks, wry, self deprecating humor, and genuine irony. Cole’s lyric panache is enhanced by this solid meld of classic singer/songwriter-ish pop, country-tinged rock, and crystalline production. The album’s first single, “Writer’s Retreat!,” is a jangling rocker with mandolins, harmonica, 12-string guitars, popping snares, the biting, opening line: “When you get back from the writer’s retreat/I won’t be there waiting”, and the killer refrain: “You can get a beat from a broken heart/You can write the book fallin? apart/You can have it all but the one you want/Just going for a song.? “That’s Alright” is another scintillating pop/rock number that deals with the end of a relationship in a more biting manner, but the wordsmithing is so top-notch it doesn’t sound like sour grapes. “Westchester County Jail” could have come right out of the Commotions’ catalog.
